The old Wool of the Month Club is coming
back next year by popular demand! The club will start taking registrations in December and will be different
than the club of 2001 and 2002. Club members will purchase the pattern at the beginning
of the year. I designed the rug based on a painting I did in a small town on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. It
will be an unusual pictorial featuring broken borders!
Every other month you will receive a package of wool with detailed directions and diagrams to complete the
panel. A color photograph of each new section will be included as a valuable reference.
This wall hanging will be a learning experience!
The design is a pictorial divided into panels featuring a different aspect of the garden and all of my special
techniques including pixelating, meandering, and walking the line will be utilized.
The wool will always be hand-dyed. I use Dorr Wool and on occasion will include a textured piece. If you are interested
in being notified of the details as they become available send me an e-mail to jane@janehalliwell.com. Scroll
down for a sneak peak at one of the sketches for a small panel in the rug.
I am working out the costs, but
it will be reasonable and always fun! Today is is June 13 and I am giving you a sneak peak at the first
hooked section. It is a great combination of pictorial garden scenes and flowers with a little twist for those of you
who want to try something unique and different. The name of the design is "Oxford Gardens." My goal
is to provide you with a wonderful opportunity to learn something new.
